Equinor Hires Havila Shipping’s PSV
Norwegian offshore support vessel owner Havila Shipping has secured contract with Equinor for its platform supply vessels (PSVs).The contract has been signed for Havila Herøy PSV, for an operation planned to be 136 days.The start is expected to be in first half of March, the company said.Built in Havyard Leirvik in 2009, Havila Herøy PSV is 80.4 meters long and has a deck space of 805 m2.
Lake Michigan Passenger Steamer Found After 150 Years
Pioneer Illinois shipwreck hunter Paul Ehorn has discovered of one of Lake Michigan’s most sought-after missing ships, the passenger steamer Lac La Belle.The ship had been missing in the depths of Lake Michigan since a stormy night in October of 1872. Ehorn located her upright, intact hull almost 150 years to the day after her loss.The Lac La Belle was one of the most popular passenger steamers on Lake Michigan.
