Ship owner, Turismo Nautico Del Mar De Cortes, agreed to pay a criminal fine of $100,000 and to not operate ships in U.S. waters for three years. The action was taken after Coast Guard inspectors found that the oily water separator system on the company’s ship had been bypassed.
