The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) discussed its portion of the FY07 budget request. Among other things, the proposal calls for $5.1 million for critical mapping, charting, and data improvements; $10.5 million to address survey backlogs; and $1.9 million for electronic navigation charts.
