BP Exploration To Merge Into Amoco Oil

September 4, 2001

Effective October 1, 2001, BP Exploration & Oil Co. will merge into Amoco Oil Company. Subsequent to this transaction, the name of the surviving legal entity Amoco Oil Company will be changed to BP Products North America Inc.
