Nord Gas Solutions has been contracted to supply the Cargo Handling System (CHS) and LPG Fuel Supply System (LFSS) for eight new 90,000 m³ Very Large Gas Carrier (VLGC) vessels ordered by BW LPG. The vessels will be constructed at HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard (HD HM), marking the first time that VLGC vessels will be built at this yard within HD. The contract was signed in August 2026.Nord Gas Solutions has maintained a close partnership with BW LPG throughout the years, supporting the owner with service and after-sales support for vessels in operation worldwide.

IDEA Logistics has arranged the sea transportation of a 136.5-ton Yankee Dryer from Karlstad, Sweden to Iskenderun, Türkiye.The main unit measures approximately 9.02 m x 5.62 m x 5.72 m and weighs 136.5 tons. The shipment also includes additional equipment, bringing the total cargo weight to approximately 146 tons.The Yankee Dryer will be used in paper production as part of an industrial investment in Türkiye. Due to the navigational and draft restrictions around Karlstad and the lake system, not every vessel is suitable for calling the loading location.

MacGregor has been selected to supply cargo access solutions and deck machinery for four new major vessels under BC Ferries’ fleet renewal program.The next-generation vessels, to be built at China Merchants Industry (CMI) Weihai Shipyard, are designed as diesel-battery hybrid, all-electric ready ships intended for BC Ferries’ busiest routes between Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland in Canada.MacGregor will provide the cargo access equipment along with a dedicated Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) package.

U.S.-flag Great Lakes freighters (lakers) carried 71.3 million tons of cargo in 2025, an 8.9 percent decrease from a year ago. 2025 cargo movement on the Great Lakes was 8.1 percent below the fleet’s 5-year average.Except for salt shipments, which increased by 4.1 percent, all commodity shipments decreased in 2025. Iron ore shipments were down 10.8 percent from 2024 to 39.1 million tons. Coal cargos declined to 6.5 million tons, a decrease of 12 percent. Limestone shipments of 20.1 million tons were below last year’s shipments by 4.7 percent.

July was the busiest month on record in the 117-year history of the Port of Los Angeles. The Port handled 1,019,837 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs), 8.5% more than last July.
