C&C Marine and Repair Delivers Barge to Orion Marine Construction
C&C Marine and Repair has delivered a new 160-foot idler barge to Orion Marine Construction, Inc. Designed by The Shearer Group, Inc., the unmanned steel barge will support Orion Marine's dredging operations by connecting with new and existing dredges in the company's fleet.The barge features an integrated walking-spud system designed to advance the combined dredge and idler-barge unit in increments of approximately 30 feet. The system incorporates a traveling spud carrier, a fixed stern spud, dedicated spud towers and electrically driven hoisting winches.
McDonough Marine Service Launches New Hydraulic Ramp Barge
McDonough Marine Service has introduced the M 1242-R, a 120' x 40' x 8' hydraulic ramp barge designed for marine and construction operations. The M 1242-R is equipped with two M25 winches and features a 25' long x 29' wide hydraulic ramp with an approximate 75 short-ton capacity.Built to support a wide range of marine operations, the M 1242-R provides customers with the equipment and capabilities needed to efficiently move personnel, vehicles, heavy equipment and materials between shore and water.

Damen Signs Milestone Pontoon Order

The contract is a significant one for Damen, being the 100th order for a pontoon since the company opened its dedicated Pontoons & Barges product department in 2010.The client, is a leading civil works company in Brittany, located in Brest, Roscoff, Cherbourg and Lorient and serves the urban, rural, road, rail, maritime, industrial and environmental sectors. Marc uses pontoons to carry out its scope of work in the maritime arena, which includes harbor and quayside projects.
