Damen to Deliver Two Tugboats to Seaspan
Damen Shipyards Group has signed a contract with Seaspan ULC for the delivery of two ASD Tugs 2813. The signing took place on May 19, at the International Tug and Salvage (ITS) Convention in Gothenburg, Sweden. The ASD Tugs 2813 will be the first Damen Tugs to enter the Seaspan fleet. The new tugs will be operated under the HaiSea Marine partnership, a joint venture between Seaspan and the Haisla Nation, the indigenous people of Kitamaat Village and the surrounding lands and waters of the Kitimat region in British Columbia.The ASD Tug 2813 is designed for combined safety and efficiency.
Libra-Plast to Provide Doors, Hatches for Damen Naval PES Project
Damen Naval has signed a procurement contract with Libra-Plast AS in Norway for the delivery of all watertight, weathertight and gastight doors and hatches for the PES project. Under this project, a Damen SIGMA frigate will be built by COTECAR at its shipyard in Cartagena.Libra-Plast will be able to meet the quality standards and requirements needed for the PES frigate.
Concordia Damen to Build Two River Cruise Vessels for TUI River Cruise
Dutch shipyard Concordia Damen announced it has received a contract from TUI River Cruise for two CDS River Cruise 135 vessels. These cruisers are of in-house design and have been tailored to TUl's needs.TUI River Cruises' fleet is currently expanding from six to 10 ships, which will operate across Europe, the Rhine, Nile and the Douro. The two river cruisers that Concordia is constructing are designed for the UK market.These two newbuilds are constructed with methanol as a future fuel in mind. Each ship will contain 94 cabins for 188 guest capacity. Delivery is expected in 2028.

Sanmar Delivers Tugboats to SAAM Towage
Sanmar Shipyards has delivered two tugboats to SAAM Towage, a pair of IMO Tier Ill-compliant vessels were recently handed over to SAAM Towage representatives at Sanmar Shipyards' Altinova facilities in Türkiye following sea trials. SAAM Towage to Build Four Tugboats
SAAM Towage signed a contract with the Belov shipyard for the construction of four new tugboats. This project is part of the company's strategy for the ongoing updating of its fleet and reinforces its growth in that market, where it operates in 19 ports with more than 65 ships.The new vessels will be azimuth tugs with a bollard pull of 70 metric tons. Damen to Deliver Multi Cat 2309 to Carmet Tug Company
On June 9, at the Seawork exhibition in Southampton, Damen Shipyards Group signed a contract with Carmet Tug Company for a Multi Cat (MuÇ) 2309. Merseyside UK-based towage and workboat company Carmet Tug Company operates a number of second-hand Damen vessels in its fleet, including a Shoalbuster (SBu) and Stan Tug (STu). In mid-May, Carmet's representatives visited Damen Shipyards Hardinxeld in the Netherlands to inspect and sail aboard the vessel. Following this, the company confirmed its intention to place an order.Damen is preparing the vessel according to Carmet's requirements.
