TOTE Services, LLC, a U.S. maritime services company specializing in vessel construction management and ship management, announced its first shipyard selection, Hanwha Defense USA (HDUS), for the Medium Landing Ship (LSM) program under TOTE Services’ Vessel Construction Manager (VCM) contract for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.As VCM for the LSM program, TOTE Services issued a request for proposals (RFP) to qualified U.S. shipyards in July 2026. The award covers construction of one LSM, valued at $269 million, at Hanwha Philly Shipyard (HPSI), with options for three additional vessels.

All American Marine recently launched M/V North Star, the second high-speed, long-range eco-tour vessel built for Phillips Cruises & Tours. Zamil Offshore commissioned Incat Crowther and Singaporean shipbuilder Lita Ocean to design, build and deliver a fourth 60-m ABS-classed monohull Fast Support Intervention Vessel (FSIV). JE Dunn Construction and Alberici Constructors, Inc. celebrated placing the final structural beam of Saronic Technologies’ $300 million shipyard expansion project. C&C Marine and Repair has delivered the M/V Mimsy H. Lindner to Canal Barge Company, completing a four-boat series of 2,600-horsepower inland towboats for the New Orleans-based operator. The Mimsy H. Lindner follows the M/V Al Sloss, M/V Deborah H. Valentine and M/V Cabby H. Boone, all built by C&C's Belle Chasse shipyard since January.The M/V Mimsy H. Lindner measures 87' x 33'-8" x 11'-3" inches and is outfitted for Subchapter M service on inland rivers, canals and intracoastal waterways.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Monday the federal government would invest more than C$11 billion ($7.95 billion) to build six new icebreakers for the Canadian Coast Guard.Speaking in Levis, Quebec, Carney said the ships would be built by Quebec shipbuilder Chantier Davie and would replace the Coast Guard's aging heavy and medium icebreakers.After Russia, Canada has the world's second-largest fleet of icebreakers, which routinely escort U.S. ships heading to the Arctic.
