Fatina Brave Named Vice President of Infrastructure and Sustainability at Ingalls Shipbuilding

HII announced that Fatina Brave has been appointed vice president of infrastructure and sustainability at its Ingalls Shipbuilding division. Brave succeeds Eric Crooker, who has transitioned into the role of vice president of program management at Ingalls, succeeding George Nungesser who is retiring at the beginning of February after 37 years of service to the company.Brave will oversee all environmental, health, safety, security, facilities and maintenance operations at Ingalls.

She Sails Program Celebrates First Anniversary and an Increase in Women in the Workforce

She Sails, CMA CGM's internal program to accelerate the integration of women into maritime transport careers, is celebrating its first anniversary. The program, launched in December 2024, which aims to significantly increase the presence of women on board CMA CGM vessels, has already doubled the number of women serving on board, from 200 sailors in 2024 to 403 at the end of 2025Building on these successes, the group has now set a target of 1,000 female seafarers by 2030, while promoting the professions and opportunities offered by CMA CGM.

UK Transport Sector Falling Behind on Gender Equity

A new national report from Women in Transport warns that the UK's transport industry is not only failing to make progress on gender equity, but it is now actively losing ground. The 2025 Women in Transport Equity Index, based on the organization's second sector-wide survey, reveals that key indicators of inclusion, pay equality and leadership progression have stagnated or worsened since the inaugural Index in 2023.The findings paint a worrying picture for a sector that is not only vital to national mobility but also a cornerstone of the UK economy.
