USCG: Hull ID for Recreational Boats

The US Coast Guard is seeking comments on the costs and benefits of expanding the current 12-character Hull Identification Number (HIN) in order to provide additional identifying information for recreational vessels. Comments should be submitted by June 16. 73 Fed. Reg. 14193 (HK Law).
