Russian gas exports to Europe through Ukraine have not been affected by political turmoil there and were "trouble-free" on Friday, a spokesman for state-controlled gas producer Gazprom said.
Gazprom ships around half of its gas flows to Europe via Ukraine. The Russian state-owned company meets around 30 percent of European Union's gas consumption needs.
