DOF Subsea wins three year IMR agreement
In Asia Pacific, DOF Subsea has been awarded a 3-year IMR frame agreement with one of the major oil and gas companies in the region.
DOF Subsea has recently secured a Safety Case for Geoholm, and the vessel will be available in the Asia Pacific region from the beginning of Q2 2017.
In a statement, CEO Mons S. Aase said, "I am very pleased with the performance of the team in Perth. We continue to win strategically important contracts in the region, and we have laid a solid foundation for continued growth and initiative in the region."
Mons added: "Including Geoholm, we will have 5 advanced subsea vessels in the region, with an average age of 6 years. Our subsea fleet in the Asia Pacific region is well diversified and well suited for projects within all our operating segments: IMR, survey, diving, mooring and construction".
Last week, DOF's subsidiary Norskan Offshore Ltda was awarded a 1+1 year contract with Petrobras for Skandi Botafogo. The contract will commence 15 February. Skandi Botafogo is an AHTS, UT 722L, built in Brazil.
Norskan has further secured two contracts with Petrobras for Skandi Leblon and Skandi Flamengo for 365 days and 668 days respectively. The vessels are two PSV's sold in 2015, however Norskan retained market risk on contract renewal for these vessels after sale.
