Louise Tricoire has been appointed Vice-President of the Lubmarine Business Unit of TotalEnergies, bringing a wealth of maritime industry knowledge and expertise to the role.

Louise joins Lubmarine following her leadership of TotalEnergies’ global aviation and marine fuel division, where she played a key role in advancing both sectors’ decarbonization goals. Her work focused on developing sustainable aviation and low-carbon marine fuels, while also exploring the longer-term H2-based solutions.

Prior to this, as VP for TotalEnergies Marine Fuels, she led ' global bunkering activities at a critical time in the international maritime sector, driving the adoption of innovative fuels such as biofuels, LNG and Bio-LNG to support the sector’s energy transition. In a 25-year career within TotalEnergies, she has built a successful track record across a number of key positions, including senior roles in Commercial Development, Strategy & Ventures and Head of Businesses, in the fields of LNG, fuel marketing and other downstream activities.

With a passion for driving sustainability within the energy sector, she has been active since 2019 in reducing the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions of TotalEnergies’ assets, which is at the heart of TotalEnergies’ strategy.

She first created the CO2 Fighters Squad to make the best of Low Carbon Businesses developed in TotalEnergies’ Gas, Renewable and Power (GRP) Branch, towards the decarbonization of TotalEnergies ’assets.

In 2021, she was appointed VP of TotalEnergies’ Customer Line CO2 within the company’s OneTech Branch, responsible for accelerating the development and implementation of decarbonization solutions across all TotalEnergies sites, as well as scaling up the technical team dedicated to TotalEnergies’ carbon capture and storage development.

Her understanding of the shipping world, paired with her leadership in decarbonization and digitalization, will be pivotal in guiding Lubmarine’s clients and partners through the net zero opportunities of 2030 and beyond.

“I’m honoured to lead Lubmarine, TotalEnergies’ dedicated marine lubricants business, at a time when the maritime industry is accelerating its shift toward low- and zero-carbon solutions," said Louise. "Lubmarine is uniquely positioned with its lubricant technologies to support this transformation, and I look forward to working closely with our teams, partners and global stakeholders to deliver superior technical expertise, operational excellence and sustainable innovation to our customers around the world.”

Louise replaces Christine Richard, who, after 2 years at the helm of Lubmarine, joins the Industry Lubricants Business Unit at TotalEnergies as Vice President.
