Silver Ships Delivers Explorer 32 Fire Boat to Fort Walton Beach Fire Department

Silver Ships recently delivered an Explorer 32 Fire Boat variant to the Fort Walton Beach Fire Department in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.The Fort Walton Beach Fire Department provides fire protection, emergency medical advanced life support, hazardous materials mitigation and technical rescue to residents and visitors of the busy coastal city.The Silver Ships vessel is equipped to handle all fire protection and medical support needs on the water. The Explorer 32 is outfitted with twin 300 HP Suzuki outboards with an engine protection and crash guard.

Metal Shark Delivers The First of Two New Boats to Tampa Fire Rescue

Metal Shark has announced the delivery of a new 40’ x 12’ welded aluminum monohull pilothouse fireboat to Tampa Fire Rescue. Designed in-house by Metal Shark and built at the company’s Jeanerette, Louisiana production facility, the new vessel is the first of two next-generation 38 Defiant NXT fireboats being built for the Department.Powered by triple 300 hp Yamaha outboards with HelmMaster controls and joystick operational capability, the new 38 Defiant NXT combines proven high-speed performance with exceptional maneuverability.

Singapore Orders Two More Fire and Rescue Vessels

Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) have yet again selected BMT and Singapore’s homegrown shipbuilder Penguin Shipyard International to design and build the next generation of fire and rescue boats called “MFV-R”. Alameda Fire Department Chooses Moose Boats to Build New Fire Boat

California boat builder Moose Boats announced it has been awarded a new contract from Alameda City Fire Department for the construction of an M2–38 Catamaran Fireboat.The M2 – 38 aluminum catamaran will be powered by twin Cummins QSB6.7L 480HP turbo diesel engines coupled to twin Hamilton HJX29 water-jets. Darley pumps will provide 5,000GPM of water through two 5” discharges, two 4” discharges, eight 2.5” discharges and four monitors.The fireboat will allow for deployment of fire attack hose lines in addition to supplemental water supply for land-based operations.

New Firefighting Vessel Christened in Poland

On Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the firefighting vessel Strażak-28 was ceremoniously christened in Szczecin, hoisting the Polish flag. New Hanover County Orders Fire Boat from US Watercraft

Hubert, N.C. shipbuilder US Watercraft said it has been selected by New Hanover County to build a custom 30-foot aluminum fire/rescue vessel. Now under construction, the vessel will be delivered in early 2023.Located in southeastern North Carolina, the county has 31 miles of shoreline on the mainland and barrier islands, with communities facing both the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean.In addition to fire-fighting capacity, the aluminum catamaran will feature an hydraulic bow door for deploying a rescue ATV.

New Firefighting Vessel Delivered in Poland

A new fireboat built by the Remontowa Shipbuilding SA shipyard in Gdańsk for Poland's Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority SA has been delivered in Szczecin.The new firefighting vessel Firefighter-28 left the Remontowa Shipbuilding SA shipyard in Gdańsk on November 13 and arrived at the port of Świnoujście the next day in the evening. On November 18, the delivery and acceptance protocol was signed, which means that the ship formally belongs to the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority SA.
