Four Missing as Singapore Cargo Ship Catches Fire off India’s Kerala Coast

A fire onboard the Singapore-registered container ship Wan Hai 503 has erupted earlier on Monday off India’s Kerala coast, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) reported, injuring several crew members and leaving four unaccounted for as Indian Coast Guard and Navy launch search and rescue operations.The incident occurred on June 9, 2025 at about 12.30 hrs Singapore time, at the vessel managed by Wan Hai Lines (Singapore) Pte Ltd.There were 22 crew members onboard.

Crew Member Dies in Accident on Tidewater’s Polaris PSV

A fatal incident has occurred aboard one of the vessels of Tidewater, a subcontractor of Equinor, resulting in the death of a crew member.The incident took place on Polaris platform supply vessel (PSV) on June 2, 2025, while the vessel was on the Atlantic Ocean engaged in normal operations. Emergency response procedures were immediately initiated, and despite the efforts of the crew and emergency response agencies, the crew member tragically passed away.Tidewater is fully cooperating with the United States Coast Guard in the ongoing investigation to determine the cause of the incident.

One Person Missing After Fire on Chevron’s Deepwater Platform off Angola

Moored Dredger Sinks off Singapore, No Casualties Reported

The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has reported that a moored Belize-registered dredger, KSE Hitachi, had sunk off Tuas in Singapore.According to MPA, there were no personnel reported to be on board the dredger at the time of the incident, with port operations remaining unaffected.MPA is investigating the incident, and navigational broadcast has been issued to advise passing vessels to keep clear of the area.The dredger’s company is making arrangements to salvage the vessel.Three MPA patrol crafts have been deployed to the site to render assistance.
