Damen, Windcat Introduce New Class of Offshore Support Vessels

On November 25, 2025, at the Offshore Energy Conference in Amsterdam, Windcat signed a contract with Damen Shipyards Group for a new Multi-Purpose Accommodation Support Vessel (MP-ASV), with the option of five additional vessels of this type. To be known as the Innovation Series, the vessels will combine a large open deck with a subsea crane with fuel efficient operations and comfortable, high-quality accommodation for personnel working in the offshore energy sector for extended periods.

American Cruise Lines has announced that the newest cruise ship in the country, American Pioneer, was christened in Key West, Florida on Monday, November 10. \American Pioneer is the 21st ship in the American Cruise Lines fleet. The inaugural cruise followed the company’s new 16-Day Grand Florida Coast & Keys itinerary, which explores both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts of Florida. Sanmar Delivers Ninth Tugboat to P&O Maritime Logistics

Sanmar Shipyards has delivered its ninth tugboat to global marine services provider P&O Maritime Logistics.P&O took deliver of its first Sanmar-built tugboat in 2013. Portland Port Christens Two New Vessels

A new tug and a new pilot boat hit the water at Portland Port, following a naming ceremony. The tug was christened Wyke Castle and the pilot boat was named Silverwell. They continue in the tradition of new boats being named in honour of local castles and wells in the Weymouth and Portland area. Apex Industries Partners with MARL International to Light New Royal Canadian Navy Destroyers

MARL International, part of Glamox, a global leader in lighting, announced today that it is partnering with Canadian firm Apex Industries, which will manufacture its marine lighting systems under license in Canada for three destroyers for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). The new fisheries surveillance vessel (FAB) built and delivered by the TAMSEN MARITIM shipyard in Rostock-Gehlsdorf for the State Office for Agriculture, Food Safety and Fisheries of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (LALLF) was christened “Goldbutt” on August 7, 2025, in Sassnitz's city harbor. For TAMSEN MARITIM, this is the first new build commissioned by the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The 17.3-meter-long and 4.9-meter-wide patrol boat, developed in-house by theshipyard, will be used for fisheries surveillance in the coastal waters of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
